D3FC0N Las Vegas

D3FC0N

That’s right, DEFCON30 is happening live IN PERSON this summer in Las Vegas!

DEFCON is one of the longest running bastions of underground “hacker” culture, spawned by die hard security fanatics when I was still learning to walk. The environment is great, especially if you’re a nerd – everyone wants to talk and make friends, and there are an endless amount of activities and presentations that you can attend. Where does electronic music come in here? Well… us nerds love techno.. and raves… need I say more?

Two ways to get in to the After Parties if you’re interested:

  1. Email using this link and get a pass to the party for free, or hit me up on social media
  2. Buy a DEFCON pass for the actual convention

Entrance to the con is available in person with cash, or online here. I’ll be playing techno oriented sounds for their first After Party located at the Ceaser Forum Plaza, timeslot is 2300-2400 (11 to midnight).

I’ll also be playing during the Hacker CTF on Saturday @ 16:00 – located in the Packet Hacking village.

Hope to see you there!

Perc, Plox, and more this Friday!

perc

Thrilled to be playing alongside one of my best friends @ploxsound – AND one of my all-time favorite techno makers, Perc! (yes perc trax perc). Hit me up if you’re interested, we’ve got a few guest list spots open. I’ll be on at 11! Two stages, drum & bass + techno!

Address: 122 E Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85004

Park close if you can and head upstairs! We’ll be in the room near the stair entrance.

Crests & Troughs

Excited to be back in the warehouse alongside some familiar faces and talented artists. I’ll be playing a bit of industrial and EBM flavored techno for this party.

Crests & Troughs is a new take on the famed Peaks & Valleys music promotion group, it was created as a seperate outlet for expressing the darker and more obscure shades of electronic music.

Belief Defect Pre-Party

We’ve all been waiting a long time for this announcement, and that day is finally here: Der Bunker has returned. Additionally, I’ve been invited to start the year off alongside Tristan/Iseult and Joe Bear at Der Bunker’s Belief Defect pre-party.

If you’ve been around the Phoenix techno scene for more than a few years, then the Bunker crew needs no introduction. If you’re unfamiliar with the name, Der Bunker was one of the first local groups to take techno seriously throughout the past decade. Beyond that, they’ve been doing the damn thing for longer than most of us have even been familiar with the genre. It’s a massive honor to be asked to perform with a group of individuals that I more or less idolize, and I cannot wait to see what the year may have in store.

We’ll be doing this party at the Lunchbox in Phoenix – The venue has quite an underground dive bar feel, but with a very impressive and well tuned sound system built by the Der Bunker boss himself. Playing on good sound is a very elusive experience here in the valley, one that I have been chasing since I started taking music seriously.

Since this is a prelude to the big show, it’s only right that I plug that event as well. Bunker is bringing Belief Defect (Drumcell + Luis Flores) out to the desert for their first Arizona performance. The duo is widely regarded as one of the most ground breaking live-techno acts currently performing, and the hype is very well deserved. Needless to say, I’m humbled to prime Phoenix heads for their appearance here in the valley with this pre-party! Information for the Belief Defect party itself can be found here:

D.Dan @ Scarlet Room

I’m back out with the Techno Snobs, and am honored to be opening the very first residency night over at the Scarlet Room in Downtown Phoenix. Starting on December 20th, they will be hosting techno once a week on the massive Turbosound stacks upstairs above Monarch Theater. Much needed in the valley!

This venue should be a great fit for the usual vibe; low ceilings, proper point-source PA, and a nice intimate setting. For the first event, they’ll be bringing techno talent D.Dan from Berlin. D.Dan is one of the first DJs I’ve felt “compatible” with in terms of intensity, pace, and style of mixing – so I am very excited to see him perform.

Catch me 930pm-11pm. Tickets are available now via Resident Advisor here:
