D3FC0N Las Vegas

D3FC0N

That’s right, DEFCON30 is happening live IN PERSON this summer in Las Vegas!

DEFCON is one of the longest running bastions of underground “hacker” culture, spawned by die hard security fanatics when I was still learning to walk. The environment is great, especially if you’re a nerd – everyone wants to talk and make friends, and there are an endless amount of activities and presentations that you can attend. Where does electronic music come in here? Well… us nerds love techno.. and raves… need I say more?

Two ways to get in to the After Parties if you’re interested:

  1. Email using this link and get a pass to the party for free, or hit me up on social media
  2. Buy a DEFCON pass for the actual convention

Entrance to the con is available in person with cash, or online here. I’ll be playing techno oriented sounds for their first After Party located at the Ceaser Forum Plaza, timeslot is 2300-2400 (11 to midnight).

I’ll also be playing during the Hacker CTF on Saturday @ 16:00 – located in the Packet Hacking village.

Hope to see you there!

Scarlet Sessions: Faction

It’s been a while since I’ve played techno in a club setting so I’m really looking forward to jumping on the decks this Friday.

Every week for over a year now, the Techno Snobs collective have been steadily pushing the more obscure sounds of electronic music at Scarlet Lounge – upstairs from Monarch Theater in downtown Phoenix. If you came out to any of our Scarlet Sessions with the Melt crew earlier in the year, then you know the place.

I’ll be playing from 11-1230 in the main room alongside TX/Berlin based “MSRN” (Soundcloud) with Jeeezus on opening support. Cover is $5 before 11 and $10 after. See you there!

Axiom in San Diego

axiom san diego

This weekend I’ll be traveling to San Diego for Axiom, a brand new collective based out of California.

Axiom is a community for techno-heads, artists, and music lovers. They strive to create a visceral sensory experience that continues to push dance music in a forward direction.

If you’re the in the area, come check it out. Address will be released day of the party. Tickets and all relevant information can be found at sdrave.info. Can’t wait to enjoy southern California!

Doc Scott & Vector Burn!

Are we dreaming?? Pressure Drum & Bass is a new monthly event happening in Scottsdale, AZ, and for the fourth edition they’re bringing us the 31 Records founder & LEGEND Doc Scott alongside the OG Vector Burn!

This party is going to be absolutely bonkers. Doc has been doing the damn thang for as long as I’ve been alive, and Vector Burn is iconic in his own right (Paradise Lost anyone???). I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to open for these talented artists and hope to see you all there.

Advance tickets are $15, grab them online at tickets.tavoo.co as usual. Check the promoter out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pressurednbaz/

A night of darkness

scarlet sessions january 21st

This Friday I’ll be bringing a few good friends for my own curated night at our weekly Melt D&B collab/residency. These DJs effectively portray the darker side of drum and bass and are not afraid to play tracks from the more obscure side of the genre.

Join us at Scarlet Lounge above Monarch Theater for a night of great music with Indy, Hidden Rhythm and Anunnaki Spirit on the Techno Snobs stage, Phonix (AZ Debut), Dead Peak, Plox and myself on the Melt D&B stage. No cover!

122 E. Washington St, 9PM-2AM. Enter from the street and go upstairs, our room is near the front of the building.

Time slots:

9:00 PM – 10:15 PM Dead Peak

10:15 PM – 11:30 PM Phonix

11:30 PM – 12:45 PM Tavoo

12:45 PM – 2:00 AM Plox

Uun Warehouse Party

Grab tickets online early and save money at tickets.tavoo.co. Address will be sent to ticket holders the night of the event.

I am thrilled to be invited to play alongside one of Detroit techno’s most forward thinking & exciting live-acts/producers, Uun!

Check out one of my favorite live sets from Uun on SoundCloud here. Ego Death on Bandcamp and his artist catalog on Discogs. His music is also available on Spotify and Beatport, and you can connect on social media using Facebook and Instagram.

See you on the dancefloor!
